Tapas are DELICIOUS!

I love tapas. I love tapas. I love tapas.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Philadelphia area is Amada. I always have a wonderful meal here, leave properly full and in the best of spirits. Here is a recap of my most recent trips to Amada...

Cocktail: Labyrinth of Passion. Sounds sexy huh? It is a strawberry balsamic old fashioned. I heard the host of Chef's Table talk about this drink with a bartender from Amada once and had to try it. They muddle strawberries with sugar and balsamic vinegar and then pour in some bourbon. I have never had a drink quite like this before but loved it and it is quite potent. Best part are the strawberries at the end!

1st Course: Serrano Ham, Marinated Oliver and Aged Manchego with Truffled Lavender Honey.

2nd Course: Potatas Bravas and Ham Croquettes. These are two awesome flavor explosions. The ham croquettes are creamy, smokey, meaty goodness in your mouth.

3rd Course: Grilled lamb chops with garlic, lemon and parsley and Costillas Del Ternera (a Spanish flatbread with beef shortribs, horseradish, parmesan and bacon). Oh my that flatbread was AMAZING! The beef was tender and in combination with everything else was sweet and tangy. I often think of this flatbread and wish I could have it all the time.

Dessert: Leche Frita, fried vanilla cream with chocolate hazelnut sauce and hazelnut ice cream, also chocolate mousse with berries and berry sorbet.

I hope these pictures show you why I love this restaurant so much. Such wonderful food!
